Advancecon Secures RM121.7 Million Contract, Strengthening Role in Data Centre- Enabling Infrastructure
KUALA LUMPUR, 10 JULY 2026 – Advancecon Holdings Berhad (前进控股有限公司) (“Advancecon” or “the Group”) (Bursa: 5281), an established provider of earthworks and civil engineering services in Malaysia, today announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Advancecon Infra Sdn Bhd (“AISB”), has accepted a Letter of Award (“LOA”) valued at RM121.7 million for the construction and completion of earthworks and associated works for an Off River Storage (“ORS”) facility in Negeri Sembilan.
The contract marks another sizeable project win for Advancecon and further strengthens the Group’s outstanding order book, providing earnings visibility over the next 30 months. More importantly, it reinforces Advancecon’s growing relevance in the enabling infrastructure layer behind Malaysia’s expanding data centre sector, where reliable water, power, access and site preparation infrastructure are critical to project readiness and long-term operations.
The sub-contract forms part of a proposed water supply scheme development with a production capacity of 65 million litres per day, which will support a data centre located at Mukim Linggi, Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan. AISB has been appointed as sub-contractor by the project’s main contractor, an established construction company with more than 30 years of industry experience and a track record across major infrastructure and construction projects in Malaysia.
The sub-contract, with a total value of RM121.7 million, will be completed within 30 months from the date of written instruction for physical works and mobilisation. For Advancecon, the project highlights the Group’s ability to participate in large-scale, technically demanding infrastructure works that are increasingly essential to Malaysia’s next phase of industrial and digital growth.
As data centre investments continue to accelerate across Malaysia, supporting infrastructure has become a key determinant of project feasibility. Water supply infrastructure, earthworks and civil engineering packages are no longer merely preliminary works, but important enabling components that support the operational readiness, scalability and resilience of critical digital assets. This creates a growing opportunity for experienced infrastructure players such as Advancecon to support the development of high-value industrial and digital economy projects.
Mdm. Phum Boon Eng, Managing Director of Advancecon Holdings Berhad, commented, “We are pleased to secure this RM121.7 million sub-contract, which further reinforces Advancecon’s position as a trusted earthworks and civil engineering partner for infrastructure projects that support Malaysia’s next phase of industrial and digital development. This award is meaningful to us not only because of its size, but because it validates our ability to participate in critical infrastructure works that serve high-growth sectors such as data centres.”
She added, “Data centres require robust supporting infrastructure to operate reliably, and this project allows us to contribute our execution capabilities to an important enabling component of that ecosystem. For Advancecon, this strengthens our project pipeline, enhances earnings visibility and supports our strategy of pursuing quality contracts that are aligned with long-term infrastructure demand.”
Mdm. Phum further noted that the contract reflects continued confidence from industry partners in Advancecon’s ability to deliver within complex infrastructure environments. “We remain committed to bringing meaningful contributions to every engagement, enhancing our capabilities and supporting our clients with solutions that drive longterm impact. Our focus is on being a valueadding partner who continues to strengthen outcomes for our clients and stakeholders,” she said.
Advancecon continues to pursue selectively aligned projects that leverage its core strengths in earthworks, civil engineering and infrastructure delivery. With Malaysia attracting growing investment into data centres, utilities, industrial parks and high-specification infrastructure developments, the Group is positioning itself to participate in projects that provide stronger earnings visibility, better project quality and long-term relevance to the country’s infrastructure growth.
