Description
Responsible for planning, implementing and monitoring traffic management measures at project sites to ensure the safe and efficient movement of vehicles and pedestrians, while maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement Traffic Management Plans (TMP) based on site conditions, traffic flow and project requirements.
Monitor and review TMP effectiveness and recommend improvements where required.
Supervise the installation, replacement, removal and maintenance of traffic control equipment, including barriers, signs and traffic lights.
Ensure traffic control equipment is used safely and correctly by workers.
Train and supervise traffic controllers on proper traffic management practices.
Monitor traffic management activities and oversee traffic movement at project sites.
Prepare and implement emergency traffic management procedures.
Conduct monthly inventory checks of traffic management equipment and materials.
Prepare weekly and monthly Traffic Management Safety Reports (TMSR), including incidents and near misses.
Experience Requirements
Minimum 3 years’ experience in traffic management or a related field.
Experience in designing and implementing Traffic Management Plans.
Experience in supervising and training traffic controllers.
Qualifications Requirements
Certificate in Traffic Management with CIDB
Relevant traffic management certification/training, such as Traffic Control Supervisor or equivalent.
