Description
The Earthworks Construction Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all earthworks-related activities, and ensuring that projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with requirements specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with the project manager to develop and implement Earthworks’ operational strategies and plans including operational KPIs and goals.
Allocate resources including machinery, equipment, labor, and materials to meet the project schedule, quality, and budget.
Monitor and manage a group of supervisors to ensure resource utilization and adjust as necessary to optimize project efficiency.
Identify potential risks and develop risk mitigation strategies and actions to minimize project disruptions.
Recruit new operators/ drivers, and provide guidance to enhance company working procedures and standards of practice at the site level.
Verifying all the activities under supervision including supervisors’ and workers‘ attendance records, plant and equipment usage daily records, diesel consumption records, machine breakdown and repair records, workers’ discipline matters etc.
Undertake any or all other duties and responsibilities as instructed by management.
Experience Requirements
At least 10 years of relevant work experience in earthworks trade only.
Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a production or operations management capacity
Qualifications Requirements
SPM and above.
Additional certifications or training in production or operations management are advantageous.
